Planet earth - directions for use was one of the entries in designboom's design competition. The project was created by angie rattay and consists of a series of four instruction manuals for the use of planet earth. there is one for the atmosphere (mantle of air), biosphere (organisms or biomass), hydrosphere (mantle of water) and lithosphere/pedosphere (mantle of rock). each manual aims to provide the reader with information to understand and change their impact on the specific part of the earth. the collection is very thoroughly detailed and well-researched, and one of the more unique entries from the competition.
