Recently I came across a series of charts and graphics by British designer Gareth Holt. The charts were created in response to statistical data exploring different aspects of social hierarchy. It has been exhibited as a part of travelling exhibition ‘Rank’: Picturing The Social Order 1516 – 2009' at the Northern Gallery of Contemporary Art, Leeds.
I've picked up 2 works I liked the most. Both works define social class.
